1. Introduction
Phulchowki is which has 2700m altitude is the tallest hill surrounding Kathmandu Valley. It is very interesting place for day adventure, birding or day hiking or mountain biking. It is also enjoyable for just driving and enjoy the nature, adventure with sounds of birds and winds. If you are bird lover or recreational hiker, the trails go through the dense forest beginning with concreted stairs. Or you could simply follow the road as well. If you have limited time, you may hike all the way up and at the end you may ask your vehicle to pick up from the top, as well.
You may spend whole day hiking up and down or birding as well. Some places trail merges with the main routes all the way to the top. At the top, you could do some sightseeing as there is an army barrack and small snacks shop, little temple, and telephone and television tower as well. It is busy during the weekend (Saturday) or Nepalese public holidays. At the top, there is not big area however it is comfortable to little around and make panoramic views of the mountains and surrounding hills. So it is great place for many activities like Mountain biking, hiking, driving, birding or enjoy landscape as well as fresh air.
