After breakfast, you will be picked up at your respective hotel. We will drive approximately 15 kilometers southeast from Kathmandu towards Godavari. Nestling at the foot of forested Phulchoki, the greenest, most pristine part of the valley lies at Godavari. It is the area where Royal Botanical Garden is situated where more than 100 species of birds are recorded. The birds that can be seen all around the year includes: Besra, Black Eagle, Mountain Hawk-Eagle, Kalij Pheasant, Common Hill Partridge, Ashy Woodpigeon, Wedge-tailed Green Pigeon, Mountain Scops Owl, Collared Owlet, Golden-throated Barbet, Speckled Piculet, Crimson-breasted Pied and Rufous-bellied Pied Woodpeckers and Grey-chinned Minivet. More than 50 species of migratory birds have recorded to visit the place as the seasonal visitors. After a whole day bird watching tour, you will be escorted to your respective hotel.
Like in previous day, you will be picked up from your respective hotel and driven north of Kathmandu towards Budanilkantha. Here a temple dedicated to Lord Bishnu is established. While you are here, you can pay a short visit to the temple. Then continue a short hike up to Shivapuri National Park. Shivapuri is government protected area where you can find over 500 species of birds including migratory birds. It delights bird enthusiasts with blue magpies, kalij pheasants, Bonelli’s eagle, Great Himalayan Barbets and other exotic birds. Bird watching in the forest of Shivapuri national park provides a very nice opportunity to know the richness of a vocational diversity in Nepal Himalayas. After viewing various species of birds that will be recognized by our guide, you will be driven back to your respective hotel.
