Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. After the clearance of customs and luggage’s, exist from the Airport Departure lounge and as soon as you exist you can see number of peoples outside holding a placard. Among them one of the representative of Nature Trail Travels & Tours, Trekking & Expedition will be holing a placard with your name in it. So, closely look at them. He will then transfer you to your respective hotels. Or else, you can visit our office and after full description about your trip, you will be driven to your hotel. Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast at your hotel, we will introduce you to your tour guide. Please seek this opportunity to ask questions about your tour. This includes a final briefing and preparations for the trip. For the meeting, please make sure you bring passport, three copies of passport-size photos, and a readable copy of your travel insurance policy. After briefing, make a start for your today’s sightseeing tour. You will be transferred in a private vehicle along with a guide and a driver. After completion of today’s sightseeing tour, you will be transferred back to your respective hotel. Overnight at hotel.
The sightseeing places we will visit today include: Kathmandu Durbar Square is one of the important historic and tourist destinations in Nepal. Listed as one of the eight Cultural World Heritage site by UNESCO, Kathmandu Durbar Square also known as Hanuman Dhoka Square. Later we visit Swayambhunath, one of the world’s most glorious Buddhist Stupa, and is said to be 2000 years old. Visitors often call it “Monkey Temple” as you can see countless monkeys wondering around the premises. Continuing our sightseeing tour, we drive towards Patan Durbar Square, situated in the center of Patan city this historical site boasts the varied range of unique architecture. Also known as Lalitpur this durbar square consists of ancient palaces, temples and shrines with exquisite carving. The major attractions of this site are Krishna temple with 21 golden pinnacle, Tushaty royal bath, Biswonath temple and temple of Bhimsen with a striking golden terrace overlooking the square, the Golden Gate, the sky piercing temple of Taleju and the statue of Yogendra Malla, Sati Temple, Hiranya Varna Mahabir (the golden temple), Mahabouddha with views of old carved wooden windows through the streets, curios shop and Bazaars.
On the following day, drive to Nagarkot which is about 1½ hours’ drive from Kathmandu. On the way, visit the ancient city of Bhaktapur. Bhaktapur Durbar square is listed at World Heritage Site. It is one of the most charming Architectural showpieces of the valley as it highlights the ancient arts of Nepal. As you walk in, you will feel a sense of inner harmony. Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a collection of pagoda and Shikhara – style temples grouped around a fifty-five-window palace of brick and wood. The Square contains innumerable temples and other architectural showpieces like the Lion Gate, the statue of King Bhupatindra Malla, the Picture Gallery, the Golden Gate, the palaces of 55 windows, the Batsala temple and the bell of barking dog etc.
After the sightseeing tour, continue on to Nagarkot hill which is 35 kilometers from Kathmandu on the eastern rim of the valley. Nagarkot is the nearest hill station from Kathmandu which offers a great mountain view. On a clear weather, views extend all the way from Mt. Dhaulagiri in the west, past Mt. Everest to Kanchenjunga in the west. While the mountains are relatively distant compared to the intimate view you will experience. Nagarkot is also a famous destination for sunset and sunrise view. On this day, you can enjoy sunset view in the evening. Overnight stay at Nagarkot.
Wake up early to see the sunrise view from Nagarkot Tower. After breakfast, drive to Namobuddha which takes about 1 ½ hour from Nagarkot. Namo Buddha is a beautiful place. There is no need to exaggerate this. The place is very quiet and pure. Its environment is very clean, with no pollution, and the natural air is so fresh, cool and healthy. It is also the right place for meditation and practice. You can enjoy snow-covered Himalayan ranges which look so amazing and pure. From the Buddhist point of view, Namo Buddha is one of the most important religious sites in Nepal. Thrangu Tashi Yangtse connects the story of compassion shown by the Buddha in his one of the incarnations, offering his own flesh to the hungry tigress who was totally ill and was about to eat her cubs around. After the visit, return back to Kathmandu and stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu
Depending upon your flight schedule, you will be transferred to airport for your final departure from Nepal. Make sure you have got all your souvenirs in your luggage and have all the necessary documents to make it easy for the immigration officials at the International airport. You will be transferred to the airport by private vehicle depending upon your departure flight schedule. The tours around Kathmandu ends but the memories will be eternal.
